Support with navigating IBCLC exam prerequisites

I have helped many people informally over the years to start their journey towards becoming an IBCLC, and now I am making myself more widely available by offering a 1 to 1 session focussed on individual circumstances, supporting people to work towards the prerequisites to apply for the exam.

Contact me to book a video session, where we can explore your options for completing the health sciences, breastfeeding education and contact hours you need to apply for the IBCLC exam.

I charge £50 for 60 Minutes video call, this includes a workbook and follow up emails.

I am an IBCLC from a non-health professional background, who got into helping breastfeeding families through volunteering in my local support group. I initially qualified as an IBCLC in 2017. I worked as a breastfeeding supporter in the NHS for over 15 years, alongside midwives and health visitors and in infant feeding teams.  I now run a private practice supporting breastfeeding families.

Through my own struggles to navigate the requirements to sit the exam, I started a Facebook group and began volunteering with Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB), focusing on providing support for aspiring IBCLCs, especially non-health professionals. I contributed to the LCGB website and helped to develop documents covering the interpretation of the IBLCE health sciences requirements for UK applicants. I volunteered for 3 years with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE), serving on the certification and re-certification committee.
